The best way to get around in Cabarete is by walking. The main highway on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Route 5, goes directly through the center of town. Since this is only a two lane road, it can be very difficult to locate parking or navigate a car in Cabarete.

Walking down the sidewalks is a great way to visit Cabarete and experience the entertaining life there. Most of the beach restaurants & bars have an entrance from the sidewalk on the main road (as well as the beach). Plus, on the non-beach side of the road are a number of additional businesses of every type. Stroll through town and enjoy the ambiance of this very active town.

While there are many things to see and do inside of Cabarete there are even more things to do in the local area. The area around Cabarete offers some very exciting and exotic things to enjoy.
